About

Craig Houghton January 3rd, 2007

Craig Houghton is a self-taught artist available for fine-art commissions and illustration work. He also has a day job, but he has no social life — so, he’s perfectly available for freelance concept art and illustration. Feel free to eat up his leisure time

He works across a number of mediums and styles, having specialized only in the understanding and expression of his subjects — this diversity allows him complete freedom to choose the style and medium appropriate to a given work. This work regularly includes watercolor, soft pastels, oil pastels, charcoal, oil paint, acrylics, egg tempera, ink, graphite, and digital artwork using a stylus and tablet.

For inspiration he looks to the works of Robert Tracy, David Leffel, Robert Vickrey, Carl Larsson and N.C. Wyeth. Beyond visual art, he enjoys fiction writing and philosophy. He currently lives in Connecticut.
