Here’s my latest belly button. I did this a few months back, but I never photographed the piece. I know, it’s an odd subject, but the body is a curious thing.

there’s a lot of belly-button posts here already, but how could I let a theme like that fade away.
4 simple bellybuttons. 2 in watercolor (upper left, lower-right) and 2 in oil pastel (upper-right,lower-left). these are all art trading card size w/ an attempt to make the navels appear actual size in rl. one got a bit away from me though.

I’ll be doing a bunch more in a variety of mediums and then dumping them on ebay as aceo’s

ok. here’s something very, very different. I made an incredibly low-tech super-messy animation just to give it a try. It’s done in the animators medium of choice, vine charcoal! And, I rerendered each frame to make it extra-jumpy!
it sucks, but it was just a proof-of-concept

Here’s a row of navel studies carved-out in Painter IX.

pencil and water-soluble marker

I know, exciting stuff.

I spent a bit trying to decide what to do with a small box frame that’s been in my way lately. I contemplated a navel and went with it.
Belly Button Box, a 5×7 acrylic navel

It’s really meant to be viewed from across a room, where it’ll look more like this:

And, here you can see the box frame.
