Review of A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I can understand why A Wrinkle in Time has so many devoted fans. The novel has a distinctive sort of innocent and intelligent charm. Unfortunately, I’m not one of those fans. I probably missed the window by about twenty years. Instead of falling into the book, I found the world too thinly presented and the morality too thickly applied. Also, I’m not much of a fan of books where the climax falls just a couple of pages from the back cover. Still, it’s not bad, and younger readers could do much worse.
